North London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal are fighting over the signature of Manchester City forward Jadon Sancho, according to the Mirror.

The news outlet have detailed on their website that the two Premier League giants are circling the 17-year-old, who could cost less than £500,000 in training compensation with his contract at City expired.

It is said that City themselves are desperate to get the England Under-17 international to commit his future to the club.

However, Pep Guardiola’s outfit aren’t best known for promoting young players into the first team, which both Spurs and Arsenal have a reputation for doing and it is said that the door has now been left open for them.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are also reported by the Mirror to have tried to work Sancho in a deal that would see Kyle Walker move in the opposite direction.

However, City knocked it back and it is claimed that Arsenal could attempt to launch a similar offer if Guardiola remains interested in star Alexis Sanchez.

Sancho has never made a senior appearance for Manchester City, but last season the left-winger returned a fine 20 goals and seven assists in 33 appearances in the club’s youth ranks.

He has also bagged 13 goals in 16 England Under-17 appearances and it is clear by his record why both Tottenham and Arsenal have been attracted to the goal machine.
