Attacker Barrie McKay is poised to complete a transfer away from Rangers and re-join Mark Warburton at Nottingham Forest after agreeing terms, according to the Daily Mail.

The news outlet has detailed on their website that the 22-year-old is nearing a £500,000 switch to the Midlands, which the club will then use to complete a deal for Norwich midfielder Graham Dorrans.

The once highly thought of youngster’s future at Ibrox has been in some doubt for a while now with it said he has rejected an extension of his contract which is set to expire next summer.

Additionally, the right-winger was sent to train with the club’s development side last week, meaning that he missed out on the Europa League first leg clash against Progres Niederkorn side on Thursday, while it is claimed that he will miss the second leg in Luxembourg on Tuesday to begin talks with Nottingham Forest.

The deal could now be announced soon with the Mail report stating that “final formalities” of the deal are expected to be finalised in the next 24 with a medical also awaiting.

The young Scotland international made his debut for Rangers back in 2012 and has featured 140 times for the club in total, helping them win promotion back to the Premiership.

But, it now looks as though his future lies away from the Glasgow giants.
