Leeds had scouts watching Barnsley’s pre-season clash against Guiseley at Nethermoor Park on Tuesday evening, according to reliable journalist Jonathan Buchan.
The BBC Radio Sheffield journalist, who was covering the match claimed via his personal Twitter account that there were a number of scouts at the clash, specifically naming the Leeds scouting team, who he had claimed to have spotted.
Sure there are a number of scouts here at Nethermoore tonight, spotted a couple of the #LUFC scouting team already #barnsleyfc

Barnsley have proven to have had a number of top Championship players in their ranks in recent seasons with the likes of Sam Winnall, Marc Roberts, Alfie Mawson, James Bree and Conor Hourihane all being poached for big money.
The Tykes also had Andy Yiadom, Tom Bradshaw and former youth Leeds graduate Alex Mowatt playing on Tuesday, who could have been of interest to the watching scouts.
However, Guiseley players could have also been of interest and the Yorkshire giants may have deployed their men after being impressed by a player featured in their own friendly win on Saturday to get another look.
The non-league side named a grand total of seven trialists in their starting line-up, so there may have been a player available that Leeds were casting their eye over.
The match also proved an entertaining encounter for watchers with the result ending 3-3 with Lloyd Isgrove, Zeki Fryers and George Moncur all scoring for Barnsley, while unnanmed trialists bagged twice for Guiseley alongside forward Reece Thompson.
