Bristol City have emphatically rejected an enquiry from Leeds for left-back star Joe Bryan, according to HITC Sport.

The news outlet have detailed on their website that the 23-year-old is attracting suitors and Leeds alongside Middlesbrough and Hull have had moves rejected for the Bristol-born full-back.

It is said that Thomas Christiansen’s side are on the search for a new left-back this summer following the departure of former youth graduate Charlie Taylor to Premier League side Burnley.

This has reportedly resulted in the club keeping tabs on Bryan, but a move could prove difficult with both Hull and Boro said to also be on the look out for a new left-back this summer, while Bristol City are also reported to be keen to keep hold of him.

Bryan is considered by many to be one of the top left-backs in the Championship and last season he returned five assists and one goals in 49 appearances in all competitions for Lee Johnson’s side.

He also has two years remaining on his contract at the south west club, meaning there is no pressure for Bristol City to sell.

But, Leeds, who found a successful player from Bristol City in the form of right-back Luke Ayling last summer could still throw in a bid to test their second tier rivals’ resolve.
