FC Lugano forward Ezgjan Alioski is set to undergo a medical with Leeds United in the next 24 hours, according to a reliable journalist.

Yorkshire Evening Post chief football writer Phil Hay reported on his personal Twitter account that sources close to 25-year-old were confident that he will undergo a medical with the Championship side very shortly.

This follows up from the story in the Yorkshire Evening Post which reported that the Yorkshire club are on the brink of snapping up Spanish playmaker Samu Saiz on a four-year deal this summer.

Alioski has been heavily linked with a move to Elland Road throughout the summer and it appears that the Leeds supporters will not have to wait long to see him sign for the club.

The player’s agent Federico Andrenacci recently dropped a massive hint about his client’s future career plans as he posted on photo of his personal Instagram account with an image accompanied by the caption:”Big Friend @gjanni.alioski good luck for your new adventure in @leedsunited we see you soon.”

The striker was in sensational form for his club last season, contributing with 17 goals and 14 assists in all competitions.

Alioski has also proven his quality on the international stage, featuring in 13 matches with the Macedonia national team and scoring one goal.
