Scoring six times against the likes of Hearts, St. Johnstone and Partick, McKay has also laid on a huge 11 assists for his club during the Gers’ 2016-17 campaign which saw them finish in third place.
However, Caixinha’s decision to sign Dalcio and Daniel Candeias from the Portuguese boss’ home country has seen McKay plunge down the pecking order and could now jump ship.
