Manchester City have sold Nolito to Sevilla, it has been confirmed.

The 30-year-old attacker has put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal with the La Liga club, and he will fly to Japan to link up with the rest of the squad on Tuesday.

City announced the Spaniard’s departure on their official website and official Twitter account, and Sevilla confirmed his arrival shortly after on their own website and Twitter account.

Nolito becomes Sevilla manager Eduardo Berizzo’s fifth signing of the summer, as he joins Ever Banega, Guido Pizarro, Luis Muriel and Sebastien Corchia at the club.

The confirmation comes after the Daily Mail pictured the 30-year-old arriving in Spain on Sunday morning before he completed his medical and signed the official contract.

The Spaniard only arrived at the Etihad last summer in a £15.3million switch from Celta Vigo, but he struggled to settle in his season-long spell at the club.

He failed to make much of an impact in his 30 league and cup outings for the Citizens, and scored just six goals.

Nolito is primarily a left-sided attacker, but he was used by City manager Pep Guardiola as an out-an-out striker and on the right at times.

The 30-year-old has been capped by Spain on 16 occasions, and he has netted six goals while on international duty.
