Despite finishing in a lofty seventh place last season and almost climbing into the Championship play-offs, Leeds severely lacked pace in the final third.

Other than Hadi Sacko, the Whites had no one who could beat a man by knocking the ball past an opponent and running onto it and their creativity suffered because of that when it mattered the most, at the end of the season.

The signing of Lennon, who is known for his blistering pace, would change all that and give Leeds real danger from out wide.
