West Ham attacking midfielder Sofiane Feghouli is set to sign for Turkish giants Galatasaray during the summer transfer window, according to the Sun.

The newspaper claims that the Turkish side are on the verge of agreeing a deal worth £4.5m for the 27-year-old after holding discussions with the Hammers in London last week.

This follows up from the story from the Turkish television broadcaster report NTV Spor which reported that the Algerian will earn £50,000-a-week once he completes a deal with Galatasaray this summer.

Feghouli signed for West Ham from La Liga side Valencia on a free transfer at the start of last season.

The midfielder got off to the perfect start as he scored on his home competitive debut in the Europa League third round second leg against NK Domzale where the Hammers came away with a 3-0 victory.

However, things took a turn for the worse as he suffered a hamstring injury in the following European match which saw him miss the opening month of the Premier League season and he was never able to fully recover from the setback.

The Algerian only managed to play the full 90 minutes in the league on six separate occasions.

Feghouli featured in 28 matches in all competitions in his debut season with West Ham, contributing with four goals and three assists.

The midfielder’s contract at the London Stadium expires in 2019.
