Arsenal are on the verge of completing a £13million deal with Juventus for goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny while fellow stopper David Ospina is also set to depart, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper claim on their website that the Polish goalkeeper is hopeful that his move to the Italian giants will be completed this week, with his Columbian counterpart set to move to Fenerbahce for a fee in the region of £4million.

Monday saw Arsenal announce their squad via their official website for their pre-season tour of Australia and China, with 27-year-old Szczesny left behind in order to try and push his transfer through sooner rather than later.

The 29-cap Polish international is said to be viewed by Juventus as a replacement for Italy legend Gianluigi Buffon, who is expected to hang up his gloves come the end of the upcoming season at the age of 40.

Outcast from the Gunners since New Year’s Day 2015, when he has caught smoking in the showers after a defeat to Southampton, Szczesny has spent the last two seasons on loan to Serie A side Roma, and sees his current Arsenal contract run out at the end of the upcoming season.

Meanwhile experienced Columbian international Ospina, who has an impressive 76 caps under his belt, has also been tipped to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer, with Turkey the reported destination.

He has firmly been Petr Cech’s understudy in the Premier League, with just two appearances last season, although he was trusted by manager Arsene Wenger between the sticks for their Champions League campaign, turning out eight times in Europe.

Unlike Szczesny however, he has been included in the pre-season squad, so it awaits to be seen whether the proposed transfer will be delayed.

Their £17million joint departure will leave Wenger with Cech, Argentinian goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez and young English stopper Matt Macey as his options in nets.
