Everton could hijack Juventus’ move for Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick over concerns that he may fail a medical at the Italian champions, according to Tutto Sport.

The Italian news outlet claims that Juve have fears that 21-year-old has a heart problem and may pull the plug on his proposed transfer.

It is understood that Inter Milan and Paris St. Germain are alongside Everton waiting to hijack Juventus’ approach for Schick, and the Toffees will consider offering more than the £26.2million fee originally agreed for the Czech striker.

The Telegraph has previously reported that Tottenham were also scouting Schick, who has attracted a host of attention despite starting just 14 matches in Serie A for Sampdoria last season.

The five-times Czech Republic international scored 13 goals in 35 appearances across all competitions for Sampdoria following his switch from Sparta Prague last summer.

He made a name for himself as a super sub in Serie A after finding the net off the bench in clashes against the likes of Lazio and Roma, and only really got a good run of starts at the end of the campaign.

Everton have been one of the busiest teams in England in the transfer market this summer, but still appear to be on the lookout for a new striker following Romelu Lukaku’s big-money move to Manchester United.
