Swansea City have entered the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah this summer, according to the Mirror.

The newspaper claims that Swansea boss Paul Clement is a huge admirer of the 22-year-old and he is fully aware of his capabilities on the football pitch as the midfielder was plying his trade in the youth team when Clement was a coach at Stamford Bridge.

The midfielder is not the only Chelsea man who has attracted interest from Swansea as the Mirror recently reported that striker Tammy Abraham is set to join the Welsh club on loan next season.

This follows up from the story in the Mail Online which reported that fellow Premier League side Watford are keeping tabs on Chalobah this summer.

The midfielder enjoyed a great spell at Vicarage Road during the 2012-13 season when his impressive performances helped the side reach the Championship playoff final.

The Mirror reports that Leicester City are also in the hunt to land the youngster during the summer transfer window.

It is said that Chalobah is currently in talks with the Premier League champions over a brand new deal but he is reportedly eager to play football on a regular basis next season.

The midfielder managed to feature in 15 matches in all competitions last season for the Blues but he failed to start a single Premier League game.

Chalobah was part of the England Under-21 national team that reached the semi-finals in the European Championships in Poland this summer.

The youngster’s current contract at Stamford Bridge runs out at the end of next season.
