Chelsea are close to securing a deal for Real Madrid ace Danilo, according to a Globo Esporte report.

The Brazilian media outlet claims the Blues have “advanced” in negotiations with the 26-year-old right-back ahead of a potential summer move.

It is even said that 16-times Brazil international Danilo has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea.

The report states Danilo is keen on a move to Stamford Bridge, as he hopes the move will secure him more playing time, as the only other right-back on the club’s books is Cesar Azpilicueta.

Globo Esporte also report that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is keen on a move for Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, but his plans are yet to progress on that front.

Danilo was in and out of the Real Madrid side last term, and he only made 25 appearances across all competitions.

He arrived at the Bernabeu in the summer of 2015 in a £26million switch from Porto, and he has since played 56 league and cup games for the club, which have yielded nine assists.

The 26-year-old is primarily a right-back, but he is almost equally comfortable at left-back, and he was utilised there often by Real manager Zinedine Zidane in the 2016-17 campaign.

Danilo has been capped by Brazil on 16 occasions, but he has not featured since the 1-0 friendly win over Costa Rica in September 2015.
