Arsenal legend Ian Wright has urged his former club to cash in on Theo Walcott this summer.

Wright’s comments came in response to the Mirror report which claimed Everton were weighing up a £30million bid for the 28-year-old forward.

Responding to Arsenal Fan TV about Everton’s interest on his personal Twitter account, Wright said: “Sad to see the amount of disrespect that Theo gets from the fans. I’ll always love him, but if it is a £30million bid, got to take it.”

The report states Toffees manager Ronald Koeman is keen on signing a winger this summer, and Walcott is one of his targets, along with Leicester City’s Demarai Gray.

The 28-year-old was in and out of the Gunners side last season, and it is said Koeman sees him as a potential replacement for Yannick Bolasie, who will miss the start of next season through injury.

Despite he fact he failed to nail down a regular starting spot last season, Walcott still enjoyed a fine season, and he scored 19 goals in 37 league and cup games.

He joined the Gunners from Southampton in January 2006 in a deal worth around £8million, and he has since amassed 383 appearances across all competitions for the club, which have yielded 104 goals and 73 assists.

Walcott has also been capped by England on 47 occasions, but he has not featured since the 2-2 friendly draw with Spain in November of last year.
