Theo Walcott – forward

It is easy to see why Walcott has emerged as an Everton target. Proven in the Premier League, with pace to burn and a fine scoring record to boot, he seems destined to always be in and out of the Arsenal team. Too good for the sidelines, but not quite good enough to start week in, week out for a team whose intricate passing patterns do not suit his game, Walcott might be better off under a manager who tells him to scorch defenders rather than play around them. The Mirror report that Everton are plotting a £30million raid on Arsenal for the 28-year-old and could be successful given his place in the pecking order under Arsene Wenger.
