Huesca ace Samuel Saiz wants to join the Leeds United revolution by Sunday, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The regional newspaper claims that the versatile Spanish forward will return to his homeland from his vacation in Miami in three days’ time aiming to finally seal a protracted transfer to Elland Road.

The Yorkshire Evening Post report that United remain hot on the trail of Saiz, 26, even though the deal has been hit by a few hurdles over the past week just when it appeared to have been finalised.

It is said that sources close to Saiz insist he remains keen to join Leeds ahead of his other suitors and all parties are keen for a £3million move to still go ahead.

The potential transfer has been complicate by the issue of the Real Madrid academy product’s economic rights, which are owned by his former club Atletico Madrid.

Saiz set off on holiday to the United States last weekend after growing frustrated at the hold ups to the transfer.

Leeds have already made four signings this summer in midfield duo Mateusz Klich and Madger Gomes, goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald and right-winger Hadi Sacko, who converted his loan of last season into a permanent transfer.

It appears that there is confidence there will soon be a fifth in Saiz, who was hailed as one of the outstanding players in the Spanish second division last season after scoring 12 league goals and supplying eight assists from 40 matches for Huesca in the competition.
