Southampton full-back Cedric Soares is not one of Tottenham’s top targets to replace Kyle Walker if he leaves this summer, according to Sky Sports.

The popular broadcaster has detailed on their transfer blog (Wednesday, 09.23am) that Spurs have two top targets in mind if Walker departs for Manchester City and that the 25-year-old Portugal international is not one of them.

The Mirror reported on Tuesday that the north London outfit were lining up the Saints mainstay and that he was added to a shortlist of names.

However, the south coast club are also reluctant to sell their stars this summer after missing out on European football and the Sky report details that the likes of Cedric and Virgil van Dijk will remain at the club this summer.

It is also believed that Porto’s Ricardo Pereira is one of Mauricio Pochettino’s top targets to come in this summer, while the other remains unnamed.

Despite not being among the top two Cedric has shown his quality in the Premier League after making the switch from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2015 for a fee of £4.5million.

The 21-time capped Portugal international has so far made 54 appearances in England’s top-flight in his two campaigns and is also still contracted to Southampton until 2020.

But, Tottenham will also have their eyes set on top players this summer as they plan to better last season’s Champions League finish.
