Norwich have emphatically dismissed a six-figure bid from Rangers for midfielder Graham Dorrans, according to The Pink Un.

The local news outlet have detailed on their website that recent reports stating that the Gers had offered £1.3million plus add-ons for the 30-year-old are wide of the mark and that the Ibrox giants have in fact offered less than £500,000, which is described in the report as “derisory.”

It is also stated that the English Championship club are unwilling to let the 11-time capped Scotland international leave on the cheap, meaning Rangers will have to up their bid if they are to secure his signature.

The Glasgow-born midfielder has been heavily linked with a return to Scotland this summer and is reportedly keen to make a move to his boyhood club.

But, Rangers have already brought in eight players this summer, including two central midfielders in Ryan Jack and Carlos Pena and it is not known how much of a budget Pedro Caixinha has bee given in his first window at the club.

Dorrans has been playing in England since leaving Livingston for West Brom in 2008, while he has also been a part of the Norwich team since moving on an initial loan deal in February 2015.

Last season he played in 24 matches in all competitions, scoring six goals while also providing an assist in an injury hit campaign.

The Scotsman also has two years remaining on his contract at Norwich.
