Thomas Christiansen’s appointment as Leeds manager last week could see three fringe stars reignite their careers at Elland Road this season.
Ostracised by Garry Monk during the 2016-17 season, Christiansen’s presence may give renewed hope to a handful of squad players who were rarely used under the former Swansea boss.
BBC Radio Leeds understand that the 44-year-old manager has signed a two-year deal with the club with the option of a third year, as owner Andrea Radrizzani finally replaces Monk who has since joined Middlesbrough.

Talks between Monk and Italian sports mogul Radrizzani broke down over the length of the contract offered to Monk, leading to his resignation, and now former APOEL Nicosia boss Christiansen has taken over.
