Manchester United are preparing to swoop for Real Madrid forwards Christiano Ronaldo and Alvaro Morato, with David de Gea heading in the other direction, according to a report in Calciomercato.

The Italian media outlet claim that Jose Mourinho is set to pounce on both of the players for around £183 million.

In return they would allow goalkeeper de Gea to move to Real Madrid, which could mean another transfer would be on the cards for Mourinho at United.

Calciomercato has claimed that with United offering up de Gea, it would mean Mourinho could chase AC Milan teenage sensation Gianluigi Donnarumma.

It is said that Real Madrid were one of the main clubs in the running to sign the 18-year-old keeper, but United could take their rivals out of the frame by offering them de Gea.

The young Italian keeper revealed last week that he wouldn’t be signing a new deal with AC Milan, which would mean he could leave on a free in January.

That could force Milan boss Vincenzo Montella to sell him this summer, to ensure he gets a decent return for the star goalkeeper.

Donnarumma made the move from the AC Milan Under 19s to the first team in 2015, and since then the Italian has made 72 appearances for the club and highlighted his potential to develop and grow.

While Mourinho looks keen to sign the keeper, the outcome of the teenager’s future could depend on whether Madrid stars Ronaldo and Morata make a sensational move to Old Trafford this summer, and whether de Gea moves in the opposite direction.
