Italian stopper Silvestri is likely to leave the club this summer after watching from the substitutes’ bench for the entirety of the 2016-17 season, with Green remaining number one.
Sky Sports Italy correspondent Gianluca Di Marzio, who is renowned as a transfer expert, has claimed on his personal website that the former Chievo stopper is interesting newly-promoted side SPAL.
He is expected to leave and with the signing of Wiedwald, Silvestri will plunge even further down the pecking order. A move is needed for the good of Silvestri’s career.
