Rangers chairman Dave King admits the club is far from finished in the transfer market this summer.

The Scottish club have established themselves as one of the busiest sides across Europe, having already moved to acquire as many as eight new faces.

Manager Pedro Caixinha has made an overhaul of the first-team squad a priority this summer, but with Rangers’ season set to begin next week, the Portuguese has been working under a tight time frame.

Bruno Alves, Ryan Jack, Fabio Cardoso, Dalcio, Daniel Candeias, Alfredo Morelos, Eduardo Herrera and Carlos Pena are the already confirmed new arrivals at Ibrox.

But Rangers chief King insists that there could still be more signings on the way, and admits that he is very happy with what Caixinha has achieved this summer.

He told Rangers TV: “I am feeling very good about it. He has identified specific players for us.

“At this point in time, we have delivered over 90 per cent of the specific players – not the positions – but the players he wants, and we have given them to him with another couple still coming in who are particularly identified by Pedro.

“In this sense, the level of planning he has put in to player identification both in player ability and planning, and the fact we have been able to get most of the players he wants, bodes incredibly well for the season ahead.”

Rangers are rushed into action so soon after the end of the 2016-17 season due to their Europa League commitments, where they face Luxembourg outfit Progres Niederkorn in the first qualifying round.

All eight of Caixinha’s new recruits could have a role to play during the two-legged tie, having been registered as part of the squad by the club, but there is still room for one more new addition if completed in time.

The Scottish Sun claim that Rangers have seen a bid of just under £1million rejected for Norwich City midfielder Graham Dorrans, but Caixinha remains keen on bringing him to Ibrox.

Meanwhile, Caixinha also remains interested in Hearts winger Jamie Walker, but they have also reportedly yet to strike an agreement of a suitable transfer fee for the player.

The Edinburgh Evening News reported last week that the Gers had tabled a £600,000 bid for Walker, but that Hearts are looking for at least £1million.
