Midfield ace Ryan Jack has completed a move to Rangers on a three-year deal.

The 25-year-old arrives on a free transfer from Aberdeen and he becomes manager Pedro Caixinha’s second signing of the summer transfer window after Bruno Alves’ arrival on Wednesday.

The Glasgow giants announced his arrival on their official website on Thursday afternoon and on their Twitter page.

The 25-year-old was a mainstay of Aberdeen’s midfield in the 2016/17 campaign, making 26 league appearances, scoring two goals.

The Scot has been at the club since 2008, making his debut against Raith Rovers in 2010, he has since gone on to become a crucial player for the side, playing more than 250 league and cup games.

He was also part of the Dons’ Scottish League Cup winning team of 2014, and won a Scottish Premiership Player of the Month award in the same year.

Jack was capped by Scotland’s age-group sides from Under-16s, right up to the Under-21s, who he made 19 appearances for.

Caixinha is looking to overhaul his squad this summer as he looks to challenge Celtic on all fronts next term, after a disappointing third place finish this season.

Rangers lost all but one of the six Old Firm derbies last term, highlighting how far they were behind their traditional rivals.
