Three Championship left-backs Celtic should consider instead of Bryan

|

Ikechi Anya

The 27-time Scotland international is considered his country’s first-choice right-back at the moment, but is naturally a left-sided defender and showed that during Derby’s 2016-17 season.

Rivalling Tierney at both Celtic and Scotland would see the duo’s performances rise as they look to bring the best out of one another.

Possessing an abundance of pace and trickery, Anya would offer cover on the left side of defence with Emilio Izaguirre’s contract set to expire on Parkhead in just a week’s time.

Charlie Taylor

Leeds academy product Taylor is set to see his contract run out in less than a week and would be allowed to move to Celtic on a free transfer, although the club would still have to pay compensation as he is under the age of 24.

Taylor has endured a difficult season that has been blighted by injury and is now set to move after refusing to play for Leeds in their final game of the season against Wigan.

Known more for his defensive work rather than getting forward to join the attack, Taylor is a hard-working left-back that will cover ground and keep possession comfortably – a cheaper and potentially better alternative to Bryan.
