Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has told that teenage midfielder Terry Taylor has “indicated” that he would like to move south to Wolves this summer.

The Scottish Sun had reported on Monday afternoon that the English Championship side were weighing up a move for the 16-year-old, who is highly-rated in the Dons’ youth system.

Now, it would seem like the Midlands side were closing in on their man with McInnes telling on Tuesday, as quoted by the official Aberdeen Twitter account that Taylor wants to move to Wolves alongside stating that the club will have to pay money to acquire his signature.

It is detailed in the Scottish Sun report that Wolves are prepared to meet a compensation figure of over £100,000 for the teenager who has not yet made his senior debut.

Taylor has so far been limited to Under-20s appearances for the Scottish Premiership club, making his debut at just 14 years of age.

He has also captained the Wales national team at Under-15s level after electing to play for them over county of birth, Scotland.

Wolves have already been busy in the transfer market this summer, signing each of Roderick Miranda, Phil Ofosu-Ayeh and Ryan Bennett and Taylor could now be the next to join.
