Newcastle should forget about signing Middlesbrough’s Adama Traore and turn their interest to three other relegated wingers from the Premier League instead.

The Daily Mail claims Rafa Benitez’s side has enquired over the possibility of taking the 21-year-old to St. James’ Park this summer, but face a fight to convince new Boro boss Garry Monk to sell the former Barcelona ace.

It is understood that the Toon would also have to fend off interest from Premier League sides Chelsea and West Ham to bring him to Tyneside this summer, with an instant return to the top flight on the cards for Traore.

However, the Spaniard struggled to remain in the Boro side for much of last season and made just 16 Premier League starts before the Teesside outfit suffered relegation back to the Championship.

This Is Futbol believes Middlesbrough should forget about signing the fleet-footed star and instead target three wingers that also suffered relegation from the Premier League at the end of the 2016-17 season.
