Newcastle United have made an offer for FC Metz winger Ismaila Sarr, according to France Football.
The French magazine reports the newly promoted Premier League side have put in a bid of £10million for the 19-year-old forward.
However, it’s also reported that the Ligue 1 side are looking for offers of £13million given that the winger’s contract at the club runs out in June 2021.
The report goes on to claim that Premier League side Watford and Ligue 1 club Lille are also interested in signing the teenager in the summer transfer window.
The youngster enjoyed an impressive debut season having joined the French side at the start of the campaign.
Sarr made a total of 33 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals in the process.
His performances helped FC Metz comfortably avoid relegation and finish in 14th position in their first full season back in the French top flight.
The teenager was also named in the Senegal national squad to take part in the 2017 African Cup of Nations.
He featured three times in the competition but could not help his team progress to the semi-final stage of the competition.
His electric pace and direct style of football would certainly suit the Premier League and he has all the credentials to become an instant fan favourite at St James’ Park.
