Newly promoted Newcastle United will face competition from West Ham in the fight for Hull winger Kamil Grosicki, according to a Daily Mirror report.

According to the Mirror, Slavan Bilic wants to strengthen his wide midfield options, and the 28-year old would do just that.

The 28-year old has only been with Hull since the January transfer window, and is yet to score for the side despite playing 15 games for the Tigers.

The Polish international, who has 49 caps for his country, did however provide five Premier League assists, in addition to beating the likes of Eden Hazard to win the PFA Fans’ Premier League Player of the Month award back in April.

Grosicki signed a three-and-a-half year contract to the now-Championship side after he bagged five goals for his former team, Rennes.

The report claims that Hull are now asking for £7.7million for the 28-year old to recoup the fee they paid the French side earlier in the year.

Newcastle will be taking Hull’s spot in the Premier League and were linked to Grosicki previously in Polish media outlet Sportowefakty as Toon boss Rafa Benitez is ready to strengthen his squad.

Sportowefakty also reported last month that Grosicki’s release clause became active in his contract following his side’s relegation.
