Burnley ace Michael Keane will reject any offers from Manchester United this summer as he targets a place in England’s 2018 World Cup squad, according to a Sun report.

The newspaper claims the 24-year-old centre-back is set to turn down the chance of an emotional return to Old Trafford over fears of a lack of playing time.

It is said United manager Jose Mourinho is still interested in Keane, despite the fact he has already secured Victor Lindelof’s services.

However, the report states offers from Tottenham, Liverpool and Everton are all still in play for the no-nonsense defender, and he may opt to take one of them, but only if the regular football he needs to break into the England squad is guaranteed.

This comes after The Times reported that Everton were set to reignite their interest in the 24-year-old, after United sealed a deal for Lindelof.

Keane arrived at Turf Moor three years ago in a £2million switch from the Manchester giants, and he has since made 108 appearances in all competitions for the club.

He was one of Burnley’s top performers last term, making 39 appearances in all competitions, helping the club to secure their top-flight status for another year.

The 24-year-old’s performances in 2016-17 saw him rewarded with a call-up to the England senior squad, and he has since been capped on two occasions.
