Juventus have rejected a £52million bid from Chelsea for Alex Sandro, according to a Tuttosport report.
The Italian media outlet claims the Serie A giants are keen to hold onto the 26-year-old Brazilian, who is under contract until the summer of 2020, and they will not entertain offers of less than £62million.
It is said Manchester City are also eyeing a move for Sandro, but they are yet to make a formal approach for the player.
This comes after the Telegraph reported that Chelsea were interested in signing both Sandro and Leicester City ace Riyad Mahrez.
The 26-year-old full-back was one of Juventus’ most consistent performers last term, making 43 appearances in all competitions, which yielded seven assists and three goals.
He was utilised in a number of positions by manager Massimiliano Allegri, and he featured at left-back, in left-midfield and on the left-side of an attacking three.
Sandro arrived at the Juventus Stadium in the summer of 2015 in a £22million switch from Porto, and he has since played 75 league and cup games for the club.
The left-sided ace has been capped by Brazil on six occasions, but he has not featured since the 1-0 friendly win over South Africa in September 2012.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is looking to bolster his squad ahead of the 2017/18 campaign, which will see his side attempt to defend their Premier League title.
