Arsenal are clear favourites to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to the latest betting odds.
Leading bookmaker Sky Bet have priced the 26-year-old at 2/1 to make a switch to the Emirates Stadium before September 3.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are next on the betting list although the Merseyside club are deemed twice less likely to sign Lacazette as they are priced at 4/1 to land his signature, with Manchester United outsiders at 10/1.
France international Lacazette recently concluded his campaign by scoring 37 goals in all competitions for Bruno Génésio’s side.
Lyon finished the league season by securing fourth spot in Ligue 1, with Lacazette firing a remarkable 28 goals during his 30 matches.
He also showed his goalscoring power in Europe by finding the back of the net on seven occasions during 12 Champions League and Europa League encounters.
Lacazette has two years left on his current deal and has only played for Lyon during his career, scoring 129 goals from his 275 matches.
Arsenal recently concluded their campaign by finishing outside of the top four after a string of poor performances in the Premier League.
However, they did win the FA Cup in May when they beat English league champions Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley with Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey getting on the scoresheet.
