Valencia are interested in signing Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez this summer, according to the Sun.

The newspaper claims that the La Liga side are willing to pay the Gunners around £5million for the 24-year-old goalkeeper after seeing reserve choices Mathew Ryan and Yoel Rodriguez depart the club this summer.

The report claims that Valencia see the youngster as their next number one choice and Martinez is reportedly interested in ending his spell at the Emirates Stadium having failed to secure a regular place in the first-team.

The Sun claims that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger might consider bringing in a new shot-stopper with David Ospina and Wojciech Szczcesny both being linked with moves away from the North London club.

The Argentinian signed for Arsenal seven years ago but he has spent the majority of his career out on loan, including spells at Rotherham United, Sheffield Wednesday and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The goalkeeper did manage to feature in the Premier League last season, playing the full 90 minutes in the 3-0 victory over West Ham United in April.

Martinez also started the league match against Crystal Palace the following week but he failed to impress as he conceded a penalty in the 3-0 defeat at Selhurst Park.

The Argentinian has made a total of 13 appearances for the Arsenal first-team, keeping six clean sheets in the process.

The goalkeeper signed a brand new long-term contract at the Emirates Stadium last November.
