Arsenal are now bookmakers’ firm favourites to sign Monaco winger Thomas Lemar during the summer transfer window.

Sky Bet have priced Arsene Wenger’s club at 4/6 to sign the impressive 21-year-old winger from the Ligue 1 side before the transfer window closes at the beginning of September.

Arsenal have now leap-frogged ahead of north London rivals Tottenham in the listings to make them fierce favourites for Lemar.

Less than two weeks ago, Mauricio Pochettino’s side was leading the betting race to secure the 21-year-old after odds previously sat at 10/11 for Spurs, with Arsenal behind at 5/1.

However, Spurs now sit behind the Gunners at 3/1, while Serie A side Juventus are currently third in the runnings after being priced at 12/1 to sign the Monaco sensation.

The Frenchman had an incredibly successful season with Monaco, where the 21-year-old helped the club win Ligue 1 and reach the Champions League semi-final.

Lemar provided 14 goals in addition to a club high of 17 assists during his 55 appearances throughout all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit.

The winger’s impressive display at the beginning of the 2016/17 campaign led to the Frenchman’s first international appearance, where he was brought on as a substitute in the 78th minute during France’s 0-0 friendly with the Ivory Coast in November.

Lemar, the now five-capped France international, joined the Ligue 1 club in 2015 on a five-year-deal.
