Thomas Christiansen is confident that he can go one better than Garry Monk and finally end Leeds’ 13-year wait for Premier League football.

Christiansen was confirmed as Garry Monk’s replacement last week, after the former Swansea boss failed to reach an agreement with owner Andrea Radrizzani, which saw him resign and move to Middlesbrough.

The 44-year-old manager was speaking in his first press conference as Leeds manager on Monday afternoon, alongside chief executive Angus Kinnear and director of football Victor Orta.

Speaking to the media, which was broadcasted live on Leeds’ Facebook page, Christiansen gave clues about how he will run the club from his position as head coach at Elland Road.
