‘Buzzing’ – Grant posts Twitter verdict after agreeing terms at Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest ace Jorge Grant has taken to Twitter to share his delight at signing a new three-year deal at his club.

The club announced the news on their official website on Monday, and Grant posted his own message shortly after.

In a tweet on his personal Twitter account, he said: “Buzzing to sign a new three-year contract with Nottingham Forest. Can’t wait for the new season to start and kick on!”

Grant’s new deal ties him to the City Ground until 2020.

He signed for Forest in the summer of 2013 as he was snapped up from the Nike academy, and he has since featured in 20 league and cup games for the club.

The 22-year-old failed to break into the first team in the first half of the 2016-17 campaign, and made only six Championship appearances before he was loaned out to League Two outfit Notts County in February.

Grant became an instant fan favourite at Meadow Lane for his wholehearted performances, and he scored six goals in 17 league games.

The versatile midfielder was used in a variety of positions by County manager Kevin Nolan, which saw him played in the middle of the park, as well as out wide.

This comes following the Nottingham Post report last month which claimed Forest had offered Grant a new three-year contract, in an attempt to stave off interest from County, who wanted to secure his services on a permanent deal.
