Aston Villa will be top of the Championship table after five matches of the new season and Leeds will be in fifth, according to a super computer.

Popular radio station talkSPORT have fed data into a super computer, assessing the opening five rounds of the second tier, with predicted rankings.

Added to that, the summer transfer window can also play its part in the predicted table changing, with club’s currently negotiating deals for new players.

The fixture list for the forthcoming Championship season was announced on Wednesday morning, with Villa hosting recently relegated Hull and Leeds travelling to newly-promoted Bolton on the opening day of the campaign.

The Super Computer believes that Villa will be sitting top of the pile after five games, with four wins to their name, while Leeds’ new coach, Thomas Christiansen will also enjoy his start, winning three of his five matches.

Steve Bruce’s Villa are one of the favourites to earn promotion next term after they finished in the bottom half of the table during the recently concluded campaign.

On the other hand, Leeds will be hoping to better their seventh-placed finish from the previous campaign which saw them miss out on a play-off spot by five points.

Garry Monk was in charge at Elland Road then but the Englishmen has since left his post and joined Middelsbrough at the Riverside.
