Arsenal will need to splash the cash and pay French outfit Olympique Lyon £60million in order to land striker Alexandre Lacazette this summer, according to the Telegraph.

The newspaper claims that the Ligue 1 club have told the Gunners that they need to pay £48.7million up front plus £10.6million in add-ons if they want to secure the signature of the 26-year-old forward.

The Telegraph reports that there have been discussions between both clubs about the future of the French forward and claims that manager Arsene Wenger is a huge admirer of Lazacette.

It is also reports that Lyon reached an agreement to sell the striker to Atletico Madrid but it fell through due to the transfer ban enforced upon the La Liga giants.

Arsenal might also come across a stumbling block with regards to the deal for the striker as people close to Lacazette are reportedly cautious about a move to the Emirates Stadium after the club were unable to reach an agreement with the player last season.

Lacazette was one of the star performers in Europe last season as he scored 37 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions, helping his side reach the Europa League semi-finals.

The striker is currently on international duty with the France national team as they welcome Gareth Southgate’s England side to the Stade de France for a friendly match on Tuesday night.
