12 months left: Christiansen must make contract decision on five Leeds players

|

Liam Cooper

Christiansen has plenty of work to do at the centre of his defence. Following the loss of Kyle Bartley, who has returned to parent club Swansea, Leeds have been left with just two centre-backs.

The 25-year-old was considered third choice at Elland Road this season behind Bartley and Pontus Jansson, but should be offered an extension in order to strengthen cover at the back.

However, if former APOEL Nicosia manager Christiansen is confident he can sign two quality centre-backs this summer, then he should avoid extending Cooper’s deal.
