Leeds are eyeing a move for FC Twente midfielder Mateusz Klich, according to Dutch outlet Voetbal International.

The report details that the Whites are interested in the 26-year-old that has impressed at top-flight club FC Twente this season.

It is understood that he is expected to leave the Dutch side in the summer transfer window and they have already begun talks to sign PEC Zwolle’s Danny Holla as a replacement.

Klich completed a move to FC Twente last summer and has enjoyed a strong first season, but is now set to move on and a first taste of English football could be on the cards.

The central midfielder made 30 appearances across all competitions and captained the side on several occasions.

He is an attack minded midfielder, scoring six goals and supplying four assists during the year.

Klich also has 10 senior international caps for Poland, but has not been involved in the national team set-up since 2014 in a highly competitive squad.

Andrea Radrizzani completed his full takeover at Elland Road on Wednesday and will be hoping he can return Leeds to the top flight.

Garry Monk is expected to be handed a new contract and he will surely be looking to bolster his squad ahead of a promotion push in the Championship next season.

Klich would be competing alongside the likes of Liam Bridcutt, Ronaldo Vieira and Kalvin Phillips in the midfield positions, and he would add some real experience to the squad.
