Tottenham travel to Leicester on Thursday night in the Premier League and should seriously consider making some changes to their starting line-up.

Spurs have now guaranteed their second-placed finish in the league table and have very little to play for in their remaining two fixtures.

Mauricio Pochettino should consider making wholesale changes to his side against the Foxes following their efforts on Sunday against Manchester United, while also looking ahead to the final day of the season just three days later.

The north London club have kept a familiar starting XI throughout the campaign and Spurs know they can challenge for the title once again next season if they keep the core of their squad.

However, there are several fringe players that have struggled to make an impact at White Hart Lane this campaign and their futures may be unclear.

Here, This Is Futbol looks at three players who deserve to start against Leicester and prove why they deserve a second chance in the first team next season.

Georges-Kevin N’Koudou

Spurs winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou has become a forgotten this season and has struggled to make an impact during his first year in the Premier League. The 22-year-old has managed 17 appearances throughout the campaign, but is yet to complete 90 minutes for the club. He has found it difficult to force his way into the starting XI, understandably so with the likes of Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Heung-Min Son all in great form this year. However, he offers something different to Pochettino’s side and that is genuine pace in the wide areas. N’Koudou has shown in glimpses his qualities off the bench at threatening defenders and this is a player that was purchased for £11million in the summer. Spurs should look to give him a chance against Leicester, a game where he should be able to threaten a vulnerable defence.

Moussa Sissoko

Spurs fans will accept that midfielder Moussa Sissoko was a panic buy last summer on deadline-day as they forked out £30million for his services from Newcastle. He has had to make do with mainly substitute appearances this season and hasn’t looked like threatening Eric Dier, Victor Wanyama or Mousa Dembele for a starting role. It is yet unknown whether he works best through the middle or out wide, which has not helped his case. However, Sissoko did show in the European Championships with France his qualities and could possibly do with 90 minutes under his belt to show what he can do. Spurs will need versatility in their squad for next season and Sissoko could be the man to fill the void.

Vincent Janssen

Vincent Janssen has been the most involved out of the three selected players, but he has still had a very disappointing season. The 22-year-old forward has been a fringe player in the sense that he rarely starts games and is often used as a late substitute by manager Pochettino. He has managed six goals in his 36 appearances this year, but looks a shadow of the player that was tearing up the Dutch League last season. However, he may deserve another chance next year and may feel he will have adapted better to English football by then. Janssen did scored 32 goals in his final season with AZ Alkmaar and may just need some confidence to get himself back among the goals on a regular basis.
