Tottenham defender Danny Rose is reportedly set to miss the start of next season – and the club’s supporters have expressed their disappointment on Twitter.
Sky Sports claim that the 26-year-old is expected to miss the beginning of next season after undergoing knee surgery on Tuesday morning.
The left-back has been out of action since the beginning of February and has been dealt a further setback.

He has missed the second half of the current campaign and watched his side finish second in the Premier League table.
Mauricio Pochettino fortunately had his understudy Ben Davies as the perfect replacement in the starting line-up and he has cemented his spot in the starting XI.
However, Spurs fans are devastated on social media with the injury update on Rose and feel he will be a big miss.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
#Rose out for the beginning of next season. The difficult third season just got more difficult. #Spurs #COYS

Rose has become a crucial member of Pocehttino’s side in recent years and has developed hugely since his arrival in 2007 from Leeds.
The England international started the season in great form and was even included in the PFA team of the season for his performances.
He has made 144 appearances so far for the north London club and has become an important player.
However, he is now set to miss the start of next year when they move into the Wembley Stadium.
