Everton have entered the race to sign West Ham ace Manuel Lanzini, according to reports.

The Mirror claim that the Toffees are searching for a new creative midfielder in the summer as they expect to lose Ross Barkley.

It is understood that manager Ronald Koeman is a big admirer of Lanzini despite the Hammers’ reluctancy to sell their star man.

The Mirror previously reported that Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal are also eyeing moves for the 24-year-old and that forced West Ham to slap a £30million price tag on him.

Everton are now reportedly in the race to sign Lanzini, who has been in good form this season.

The Argentinian has made 38 appearances across all competitions, scoring eight goals and supplying two assists in return.

He has had the added pressure of Dimitri Payet’s departure from the London Stadium to deal with and has shown the West Ham fans his qualities in front of goal.

Lanzini is a versatile midfielder that has been used in a number of positions this season, playing as a central midfielder, left winger and a number 10.

Koeman is looking for a new attacking midfielder to fill the void left by Barkley, who has played an important role at Goodison Park this season.

The 23-year-old has managed six goals and nine assists, playing a major role in helping the Merseyside club reach seventh in the Premier League table and return to Europe for next season.
