Tottenham fans react to Lanzini interest

|

Tottenham are in the race to sign West Ham midfielder Manuel Lanzini – and the club’s supporters have given a mixed response to the speculation on Twitter.

The Daily Mirror claim that Spurs and Arsenal have made contact for the 24-year-old, while Liverpool are also circling for his signature.

It is understood that the Hammers have placed a £30million-plus valuation on their playmaker to try fend off interest.

However, the report details that the Premier League’s elite are prepared to blow them out of the water with contract offers in excess of £100,000-a-week.

Spurs fans are divided in opinion about whether Lanzini would be a good signing for them as they look to establish themselves at the top-end of English football.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Spurs already have several attacking talents at their disposal and that has helped fire them up to second in the league table.

Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Heung-Min Son have all been extremely prolfic in front of goal, scoring a combined total of 79 goals between them.

However, Mauricio Pochettino will surely be looking to improve his squad in the summer to help them compete in both Europe and domestically next season.

Lanzini has the capabilities to swap into any of three attacking positions behind the striker, but his preferred position is in the central area.

The Argentinian has been one of West Ham’s stronger performers this campaign and has been a positive signing since he arrived in 2015.

He has made 71 appearances for the Hammers, scoring 15 goals and supplying seven assists in return.
