Arsenal legend Thierry Henry was chosen as one of the Sky Sports pundits to cover Tottenham’s match at the weekend – and the Spurs fans reacted to his appearance on Twitter.
Spurs have a historic day on Sunday as they play their last ever game at White Hart Lane at home to Manchester United.
The north London club will be making the temporary move to Wembley Stadium next year and have an exciting new ground currently under development being built right next to White Hart Lane.
However, it is set to be an emotional send off against United as they say goodbye to their prestigious home.
Sky Sports’ coverage of the match has included Arsenal great Henry as a pundit, something that did initially not go down well with the Spurs fans.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
So it's the last ever game at White Hart Lane and the pundit is… Theirry Henry ???

Thierry Henry standing on the pitch at White Hart Lane is making my blood boil. Could've done without him today ?

Sorry but why have @SkySports got Thierry Henry at the lane, an arsenal legend at the lane in this special date!!#letdown

Dear Sky, not the cleverest idea having Thierry Henry at WHL today.

However, Henry has managed to win back some of the Spurs fans after he declined to talk about winning the league against them.
The Gunners managed to clinch the Premier League title at White Hart Lane in the 2003/04 season with a 2-2 draw, but Henry to his credit wanted to honour Spurs’ memorable last day at their ground despite being promoted about his title success.

Credit to Thierry Henry there. @SkySports wanting to try to wind up Spurs fans and he wasn't having any of it. #THFC #COYS

Spurs and Arsenal fans have a bitter rivalry between them, with the latter edging the history between the two north London clubs.
However, Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been in the ascendancy this season and have finished above them in the Premier League.
They just missed out on the league title to an impressive Chelsea outfit, but most fans agree the current crop of Spurs players are their best squad in recent memory.
