Moussa Dembele has described Celtic as “invincible” after Brendan Rodgers’ side completed the treble with Scottish Cup final victory over Aberdeen.

Celtic earned a 2-1 win over Derek McInnes’ side on Saturday afternoon at Hampden Park thanks to goals from Stuart Armstrong and a late winner from Tom Rogic.

Dembele remained an unused substitute throughout the match after returning to the bench following a hamstring injury, as the Hoops made it six out of six for the season against the Dons.

Posting on his personal Twitter account after the match, former Fulham striker Dembele labelled his side as the “Kings of Scotland” as they remained unbeaten in all three competitions north of the border.

Aberdeen took the lead through Jonny Hayes in the ninth minute, but it took the Hoops just two minutes to equalise through former Dundee United midfielder Armstrong.

The score remained the same until second-half injury time when substitute Rogic found the bottom corner after a sublime solo effort that saw him squeeze the ball past goalkeeper Joe Lewis.

It saw the 48-time Scottish champions hold aloft the trophy aloft, combining that with the Scottish Premiership and League Cup to complete a treble in Rodgers’ first season.

Dembele has been in prolific form north of the border since his move from Championship outfit last summer, scoring 32 goals in 49 league and cup encounters as the Bhoys dominated Scottish football.
