West Ham want £25m-rated Pickford, Adrian could join Sunderland

West Ham are ready to bring Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford to the London Stadium and are willing to send Adrian the other way in a deal worth £25million, according to the Sun.

The report claims that the Hammers would need to pay £17million in cash to sign the Black cats academy product as well as Adrian moving to the Stadium of Light, with the Spaniard said to be rated at around £8million.

A source told the Sun that West Ham have made contact with the Wearside outfit in order to propose an offer to sign rising star Pickford, but it also revealed that Everton have shown the most interest in Sunderland’s number 13.

“Jordan is wanted by a whole host of clubs. Everton have showed the most interest but West Ham have now made enquiries too,” The Sun’s source revealed.

“And it has been proposed that Adrian can come in the opposite direction to replace Jordan.”

The Hammers are likely to be in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer, with doubts surrounding the performances of both Darren Randolph and Adrian.

However, a move away from the London Stadium for Adrian could be considered surprising after the former Real Betis goalkeeper signed a new two-year deal earlier this month.

Pickford has excelled in relegated Premier League outfit Sunderland’s side, despite his side finishing rock-bottom in England’s top flight.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper has kept just five clean sheets in 33 league and cup appearances but made the second most saves in the Premier League, according to Fox Sports, stopping 135 on-target efforts.

Now, Adrian’s four-year stay with the Hammers could be brought to an abrupt end if Slaven Bilic’s side do look to press ahead with a move for Pickford.
