Celtic defender Kieran Tierney has been included in the revised Scotland squad to face England in their World Cup qualifier on June 10.

The 19-year-old has been included in Scotland manager Gordon Strachan’s 24-man squad despite the fact he fractured his jaw during his side’s 2-1 Scottish Cup final win over Aberdeen on Saturday.

Scotland’s squad was released on their official website on Monday night, and it includes Tierney.

Tierney was removed from the Hampden Park pitch on a stretcher midway through the first half of the cup final after being elbowed in the face by Aberdeen forward Jayden Stockley.

Stuart Armstrong and Jonny Hayes traded early goals, before Tom Rogic bagged the winner for the Hoops in injury time, securing the Scottish Cup and clinching the domestic treble for his side.

The Daily Record reported Tierney had told Strachan that he wanted to play against England, imploring him to keep him in the squad.

The 19-year-old has already represented Scotland on three occasions, impressing in the 1-0 World Cup qualifier win over Slovenia in March of this year.

He was a mainstay in Celtic’s treble winning side of 2016/17, making 40 appearances in all competitions, and providing 12 assists.

The Hoops finished the entire domestic season unbeaten in Brendan Rodgers’ first campaign as manager.
