Rangers have been installed as the favourites to sign Motherwell striker Louis Moult this summer, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.
Bet Victor priced the Scottish big hitters at 4/1 on Saturday morning to sign the 24-year-old before the transfer window shuts in September.
Trailing behind Pedro Caixinha’s side are English Championship side Derby at 5/1, while Aberdeen are 6/1 and Crystal Palace are priced at 8/1.
The likes of Brentford, Preston and Birmingham are also credited with a chance of signing Englishman Moult, whose goalscoring exploits for Scottish Premiership outfit Motherwell have caught the eye of so many clubs.
Moult has scored 18 goals and supplied seven assists in 34 matches in all competitions this season.
Since joining Motherwell from non-league club Wrexham in the summer of 2015, Moult has scored 36 goals from 76 appearances.
Rangers are expected to buy at least one new striker this summer after the forwards in their ranks failed to deliver the goods this season.
Veteran Kenny Miller was the Ibrox club’s top league scorer with 11 goals, which paled in comparison with the Scottish Premiership’s most prolific forwards.
Motherwell could be vulnerable to a bid for Moult as they finished the season in ninth out of the 12 sides in the league.
