Tottenham ace Harry Kane has sent a Twitter message to critics who thought he was going to be a one season wonder.

The 23-year-old struck 29 goals in the Premier League this season to win back-to-back Golden Boot awards.

During the 2014/15 campaign, Kane struck 21 goals in 34 league matches, with some thinking he would not go on to match those feats later on in his career.

However, he has since scored 54 goals from 68 league matches as he sent this message which was accompanied by 29 football emojis.

“One season wonder,” Kane wrote on his personal Twitter account. “Again and again.”

Kane finished four goals ahead of his nearest rivals in the race for the Golden Boot despite missing eight matches of the season through injury.

He came through the ranks at White Hart Lane and was given his first start by his former boss Tim Sherwood in 2014.

He scored during that fixture against Sunderland as Spurs went on to claim an easy 5-1 win against the north east side.

During this campaign, he scored a number of memorable goals, including the winning strike in the final match at White Hart Lane against Manchester United.

During his Premier League career thus far, Kane has found the back of the net on 78 occasions from 116 matches as he will be looking to hit three figures next term.

Added to that, he will be playing Champions League football for a second consecutive campaign as Spurs will be playing at Wembley for one season before moving to their new ground.
