Tottenham are keeping close tabs on Monaco winger Thomas Lemar – and fans on Twitter have urged the club to sign the highly-rated prospect.
French outlet L’Equipe claimed on Saturday that Spurs, Juventus and Atletico Madrid are preparing bids for the 21-year-old attacker.
France international Lemar recently concluded the Ligue 1 campaign by helping his free-scoring Monaco side win the title by scoring 107 goals from their 38 matches.
Explosive inside forward Lemar played a big part in that success, scoring 14 goals and supplying 17 assists in all competitions for Leonardo Jardim’s team.
Therefore, there is no surprise that Spurs supporters want to see their club sign Lemar in the summer, with one fan thinking that £25million for his services would be a “steal”.
Tottenham will be well aware of what Lemar can bring to the table because during the group stages of the Champions League he scored in both fixtures against Spurs.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side were knocked out of their group, suffering a 2-1 defeat at Wembley to Monaco, who then won the reverse fixture at their home ground by the same scoreline.
The French outfit went on to reach the semi-final stages before their attacking run was brought to an end by current holders Real Madrid, who will play Italian giants Juventus in the final next month in Cardiff.
One supporter thinks that Lemar’s arrival added with the signings of other European attackers “would massively improve our squad”.
Spurs will enter the Champions League for a second season running after finishing the Premier League campaign as runners-up to champions Chelsea.
